Membership Status

Article 5.01 of the Covenants & By-laws: No person may hereafter become a member of the Association unless he shall have an interest as an owner in the real estate in the Lake Wildwood Development, Marshall County, Illinois. Each such person, upon acceptance by the Association, shall become a member of the Association and shall be entitled thereafter, except as may be hereinafter provided, to all of the privileges of such membership as recognized by the Association.

Only one membership may be considered for any given lot.

A membership shall include the married spouse or partner by civil union of the person in whose name title to the lot is taken. The annual dues, or assessment levied against members by the Board of Directors, shall be levied against each member of the Association, except that a husband and wife or legal partnership by civil union shall be obliged to pay only one such assessment or dues for each lot owned.

Lake Wildwood is a private Association community. Rules, decals, access procedures, and member responsibilities help protect the community, amenities, lakes, roads, and property owners.

When in doubt, contact the Association Office before purchasing equipment, starting a project, inviting large guest groups, launching watercraft, or assuming a rule does not apply.

Frequently Asked Questions

If my friend and I purchase a lot, are we both considered members?
No. Only one membership is granted per lot, and a membership is considered a married spouse or partner named on the deed. In this case, either you or your friend will be considered the member, but not both.
Are children of members also considered members?
No. Children of members may have the ability to obtain an automobile tag, but children of members do not have member privileges.
Do I need to own property to become a member?
